Brown Fused Aluminum Oxide

BTRC is a brown fused aluminum oxide obtained by a reductive fusion of high quality bauxites in electric arc furnaces. The grits are ceramic coated with iron oxide at high temperatures improving their capacity to bond each other in resin bonded cutting-off discs. BTRC can also be added in grinding wheels formulations (grits 10, 12, 14 and 16) for high stock removal ratio, substituting as far as 20% of the alumina-zirconia grits normally used in these abrasives.
